Murder charges have been filed against a second suspect in the 2022 murder of Marcus Miller in St. Paul’s Frogtown neighborhood.
Geormond Franklin, 21, is charged with two counts of second-degree murder in connection with the Oct. 11, 2022, shooting. His accomplice, Daeshon Lee Tucker, was convicted of aiding and abetting second-degree murder after being certified as an adult and is serving a 16-year prison sentence.
According to a criminal complaint, Miller and his girlfriend were walking toward Willard’s Liquors at the intersection of Edmund Street and Thomas Avenue when two males in a blue Kia drove on the sidewalk and cut them off. The two searched Miller and demanded money from him before shooting at him. Miller tried to run away but both suspects shot him multiple times…
