ST PAUL, Minn. — One person was sent to the hospital, and multiple residents were displaced, after a lithium-ion battery caught fire at a downtown St. Paul apartment complex Sunday morning.
According to the St. Paul Fire Department, responders were called to the apartment on 7th Place East just before 5:15 a.m. Firefighters were able to quickly put out the fire, which was contained to a single unit, according to officials.
One resident was rescued from a second-floor balcony and taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. SPFD said no other injuries have been reported…
