Ramsey County Responds to Domestic Violence Surge with Comprehensive Support Initiative

In 2024, Ramsey County was dialed into a crisis, with over 9,500 emergency calls related to domestic violence, signaling a deep-seated problem impacting more than the immediate safety of individuals. Recognizing the scope of domestic violence and its far-reaching impacts on mental health, housing stability, and the well-being of families, the county has taken action to weave a stronger safety net for its residents.

In a crucial move to address this crisis, Ramsey County launched the initiative Call4All – Safe Support for All, dedicated to helping victims/survivors of domestic abuse. The initiative works to fully connect residents in need with a network of partner organizations providing comprehensive support—from crafting safety plans to securing shelter and obtaining legal aid and therapy. The introduction of Call4All is informed by actual stories and feedback gathered over 18 months from those who’ve lived through the violence and the organizations that have stood by them.
