West St. Paul Oxendale’s Closing

Today the Oxendale’s grocery store in West St. Paul announced they are closing. They expect to shut down by December 23 or sooner.

  • An employee confirmed the closure and said the employees were given the news today. They were not given an option to transfer to other Oxendale’s locations.
  • With already depleted shelves, some stock is already being moved to other stores.

Context: Oxendale’s has struggled over the summer during the Smith/Dodd intersection realignment. First pitched in 2021, there have been no updates on redevelopment plans for the aging shopping center.
