A man is charged with five felonies involving an incident that allegedly started with an auto theft and ended with the defendant shooting at police officers.
Court documents lay out the charges against 32-year-old Elliot Samuels Vaughn, which include four different counts of assault and one of auto theft.
The incident began on Sunday shortly after 5:30 a.m., when an employee of a car rental company noticed that three of their vehicles had been stolen from a parking garage in Minneapolis.
