After Wednesday’s fatal shooting of an Minneapolis woman by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer, Red Lake Tribal officials are warning members living in the Twin Cities area to look out for one another and avoid direct confrontations with ICE and other federal law enforcement.
In a press release issued yesterday on Facebook, the Red Lake Tribal Council says 8,000 Red Lake members live in the immediate neighborhoods where ICE is patrolling. They say their number one concern is the safety of their Tribal members and expressed that they are very concerned Red Lake members will be abused by ICE and other federal agents.
