List of major ICE raids, updates in Minnesota on Wednesday, Jan. 14

Bring Me The News will once again be following developments as ICE and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) continue immigration crackdowns across the Twin Cities and Greater Minnesota.

The Department of Homeland Security is planning to increase its presence in Minnesota by an additional 1,000 officers, while President Donald Trump vowed “retribution” to Minnesota for its ongoing opposition to his administration’s actions on immigration.

1:25 p.m. – Apparent arrest outside south Minneapolis business

Footage taken from outside the Swanson Meats on South 26th Street in south Minneapolis shows the aftermath after an individual was reportedly detained at around noon.

12:45 p.m. – Council member warns of activity in south Minneapolis

City council member Jason Chavez says there is a “concerning amount of immigration enforcement in south Minneapolis” on Wednesday, and issued a call for community members to observe federal actions.
