EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul is keeping close tabs on the situation in Minneapolis.
Kaul stopped by WEAU earlier Thursday and says what’s going on in the Twin Cities is “insane”, adding that the efforts of the federal government is making the situation unsafe.
“It seems pretty clear that ICE is targeting people based on their race in ethnicity. This is not what we should be seeing America, and this is what the kind of thing that this country was founded on opposing so I’m really concerned about what we’re seeing there. I really hope Congress reviews this very carefully and here in Wisconsin we need to be prepared so if there’s a similar effort to come into our communities and to make them less safe and to violate people’s freedoms that we’re prepared for that, I hope we don’t see that but we need to be prepared for it,” said Kaul…
