Hundreds of businesses and potentially thousands of residents are observing an “economic blackout” in protest to the ongoing ICE occupation in Minnesota on Friday.
The general strike promoted by faith and community leaders calls for no working, no spending, and no studying in response to the prolonged federal operation in the state, which has seen federal agents conduct brutal arrests, detain children, and raid homes without warrants in the name of immigration enforcement.
