Outraged Minneapolitans blast ‘failing’ local leaders and ‘un-American’ federal response

Members of the Minneapolis community say they feel like their local leaders have failed them as federal agents continue to terrorize the city.

Neighbors gathered at the roadside memorial set up in the spot where 37-year-old ICU nurse, Alex Pretti, was gunned down on Saturday morning. Pretti’s heartbroken neighbors laid flowers and signs in the place where, in his final moments, he bravely stepped in to protect a woman who was attacked by a federal agent. Locals expressed their horror at what is happening in their city, along with their complete fury at the response of both local and federal officials.

North Minneapolis woman Mary Jenson, called the federal government’s response, “completely inexcusable,” adding, “It is disgraceful. It is not American. It is not what the majority of people stand for, I truly believe that.”…
