Various community groups are holding vigils and protests across the state on Friday in conjunction with the “National Shutdown,” where people across the nation will not participate in school, work or shopping in protest of the recent killings by federal agents.
At least, two events connected with the nationwide movement are planned in New Haven and New London on Friday, according to local groups. In the days leading up to the event, there are also actions taking place in Avon and Greenwich.
