In a message to employees, the incoming CEO at Minneapolis-based Target called the two fatal shootings of residents by immigration agents “extremely painful.”
While Target has stopped short of issuing a public statement, a video message was sent by Michael Fiddelke to workers on Monday and obtained by CNBC, who said “the violence and loss of life in our community is incredibly painful.”
“What’s happening affects us not just as a company, but as people, as neighbors, friends and family members within Target. We are doing everything we can to manage what’s in our control, always keeping the safety of our team and guests our top priority,” he continued…
