FDA Finds Unsanitary Conditions at Gold Star Distribution

According to the FDA, conditions inside the Gold Star Distribution Inc. facility were anything but clean. Inspectors found evidence of rodent urine and feces along with bird droppings in areas where products like medications, food, cosmetics, and even pet food were stored and then shipped out to stores across the country.

Because of this, items held at the facility are considered contaminated. Handling or consuming them could pose serious health risks, including salmonella and leptospirosis.
