A federal grand jury has indicted Claire Louise Feng, 27, for allegedly injuring a Homeland Security Investigations special agent during an arrest in Minneapolis. According to court documents, Claire Louise Feng is accused of biting off the tip of the agent’s finger during the arrest.
United States Attorney Daniel N. Rosen announced that the charges stem from an incident on January 24, 2026, when officers were securing an area near Nicollet Avenue between 27th and 28th Street after an officer-involved shooting.
According to court documents, officers from Customs and Border Protection and Homeland Security Investigations were trying to arrest someone who had thrown a chemical canister at federal law enforcement. Feng is accused of tackling a CBP officer during the arrest attempt. Prosecutors say a Homeland Security Investigations special agent took Feng to the ground, and as he tried to gain control, Feng bit his right ring finger, severing the tip and exposing the bone…
