Crash involving Farmington police squad leaves 72-year-old with life-threatening injuries

A crash involving a Farmington squad car on Monday evening left a woman with life-threatening injuries.

According to a State Patrol incident report, a 22-year-old man, who is listed on the city of Farmington’s website as a police cadet, was driving the squad south on Highway 3 around 5:35 p.m. with lights and sirens activated when he crashed into a Toyota Corolla at Elm Street.

The Toyota was driven by a 72-year-old woman, who had just entered the intersection. The woman was brought to the hospital with life-threatening injuries…
