St. Paul places ‘rough road’ signs on 4 pothole-strewn city streets

The City of St. Paul has placed “rough road” signage on four major arterial roads littered with potholes ahead of their eventual repair this spring.

Earlier this week, the city announced its public works department had identified four street segments to be addressed by maintenance crews this spring. The city has posted signage on these streets, telling residents to be alert for loose pavement, potholes and patching crews around these areas.

The streets are:

  • Hamline Avenue from Concordia Avenue to Selby Avenue
  • Vandalia Street from University Avenue to Interstate 94
  • Shepard Road from Springfield Street to Gannon Road
  • Childs Road at Warner Road
