A woman and a young boy were killed in an early morning shooting Wednesday in the northeast Twin Cities metro area, authorities confirmed.
According to the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded just before 1 a.m. to a residence near Ryan Place and Woodland Road in Lexington, about 20 miles northeast of Minneapolis. Officers from the Centennial Lakes Police Department and neighboring agencies also assisted at the scene.
Inside the home, authorities discovered a deceased adult woman and a severely injured juvenile male. The child was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries…
