Shakopee mayor joins DPS plea for drivers to put phones down after daughter-in-law’s death

With the calendar now turned to April, Minnesota law enforcement is ramping up distracted driving enforcement.

This year, Shakopee Mayor Matt Lehman joined the Minnesota Department of Public Safety’s Office of Traffic Safety (DPS-OTS) in calling for drivers to put their phones down.

Last summer, Lehman’s daughter-in-law, Ashley, was involved in a serious crash and later died from her injuries…
