Winter storm waves could bring 12+ inches of snow to parts of Minnesota

Further waves of winter weather could drop more than a foot of snow in parts of northern Minnesota over the coming days.

The winter storm that arrived in Minnesota on Thursday could drop 5-8 inches of snow by Friday morning with areas of the North Shore, the Iron Range, and Itasca County seeing the heaviest amounts.

Bring Me The News meteorologist Sven Sundgaard says Twin Cities residents shouldn’t be surprised if there’s a light glaze of slushy snow on the ground come Friday.
