KSTP was inside an MPD squad car, rolling down Hennepin Avenue, a ridealong with the Fifth Precinct’s directed patrol unit.
“We do crime suppression, community engagement,” explains Officer Nicholas Davids, who’s been on the force since 2020. “We go to areas impacted by crime. We do a lot of high-visibility enforcement, so we’re out in the community.”
Just 30 seconds in the car and Davids and his partner, Officer Cordarol Scales, are suddenly responding to a 911 call… a woman with a knife…
