Clarence Lyons, 37, and Patience Jentzen, 31, have been charged with serious assault‑related crimes after a road‑rage confrontation in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, that turned violent when a golf club was used.
What happened in the incident
On March 23, police responded to calls about an assault near an intersection in Robbinsdale after a brown sedan sped past a red sedan, cut it off, then slammed on its brakes, causing the red car to stop suddenly. The victim, who was driving a silver SUV behind them, parked, got out, and walked up to the brown sedan, thinking he was intervening in a road‑rage dispute.
Lyons exited the brown sedan as a passenger, followed by Jentzen as the driver. Lyons returned to the vehicle, grabbed a golf club, and then allegedly ran at the victim and began beating him while he tried to return to his SUV. The two men ended up fighting on the ground, and Jentzen allegedly stole the victim’s keys from his silver SUV and joined the attack, also swinging the golf club at him.
Charges and aftermath
