Gunfire Erupts On Unity Avenue As Bullet Hits Brooklyn Park Home

Gunfire shattered the quiet of a Brooklyn Park neighborhood on Saturday night, sending people running, a car speeding off, and a bullet into a nearby house, according to police. Officers later found the street littered with shell casings, but no one was reported hurt.

Officers were dispatched to the 7400 block of Unity Ave N, where they found numerous casings scattered across the roadway, the department said. Two adults were seen running from the area, and a vehicle was spotted leaving. A residence on the 7300 block of Unity Lane was struck by at least one round, and police reported no injuries. Hennepin County Crime Lab deputies helped process the scene, according to the Brooklyn Park Police Department.
