Aimee Bock sentenced to nearly 42 years in prison for Feeding Our Future fraud

Aimee Bock was sentenced this morning to 41.6 years in federal prison in the Feeding Our Future fraud.

Bock, 45, was convicted last year as the ringleader of the estimated $400 million federal food aid fraud that dominated Minnesota headlines for the past four years. Bock had faced up to life in prison, but U.S. District Judge Nancy Brasel handed down a lesser sentence after reviewing arguments from Bock’s attorney, Kenneth Udoibok, and federal prosecutors.Bock’s sentencing began at 9 a.m. Thursday in federal court in downtown Minneapolis. Her sentence was handed down about 10:30 a.m.

“I’m nervous,” Udoibok told Sahan Journal before Thursday’s sentencing. “My paralegal is nervous. [Bock’s] nervous. It’s a big weight on our shoulders, collectively.”…
