BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A previously convicted scammer is now behind bars in Brevard County after investigators say he conned an elderly Merritt Island woman out of thousands of dollars by posing as a Publishers’ Clearing House employee.
According to investigators, 30-year-old Kason R. Dixon of Kissimmee allegedly targeted victims by falsely telling them they had won millions of dollars and a luxury vehicle through Publisher’s Clearing House.
Dixon was previously convicted in Hillsborough County in 2025 and sentenced to eight years in prison on multiple counts of theft and exploitation of people older than 65.
