CLEARWATER, Fla. – Drivers planning to travel between Tampa and Clearwater late Monday night need to find a different route. All lanes of State Road 60, widely known as the Courtney Campbell Causeway, will completely close in both directions starting at 10 p.m. on June 1. The roadway is scheduled to reopen at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, June 2, assuming the weather cooperates.
The total shutdown is required so construction crews can safely perform overhead bridge work. This task is a major step in building the upcoming SR 60 pedestrian overpass project in Pinellas County.
