TAMPA, Fla. – A massive column of smoke could be seen for miles Thursday afternoon as Hillsborough County firefighters rushed to battle a fast-moving, two-alarm blaze at a local commercial building.
The emergency began at approximately 2:35 PM when the county’s dispatch center was flooded with multiple 911 calls reporting a fire at 4106 South 50th Street. Crews heading to the scene reported seeing heavy smoke filling the sky before they even arrived.
