TAMPA, Fla. – A 35-year-old man who managed to evade law enforcement across multiple Florida counties for years is finally in custody. Members of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Auto Theft Unit located and arrested Everaldo Alvarez Borqueno on June 18, 2026.
Alvarez Borqueno was wanted on outstanding warrants from several jurisdictions, including the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Department of Corrections. According to officials, the arrest brings a conclusion to multiple long-term investigations and years of coordinated law enforcement efforts to capture him.
