TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A St. Petersburg woman who was told she could no longer legally drive her car after a registration issue has received a resolution and is now back on the road.
Regina Ann Martin-Tuthill faced an unusual problem when she was told her 2002 Mercury Cougar was somehow registered in another state. At midnight on her birthday, she could no longer legally drive the vehicle, one of her prized possessions.
Martin-Tuthill has been the only owner of the car, and it had been registered in Florida since 2006. She said the trouble began in May when she tried to renew the registration early…
