PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Pinellas County detectives are investigating the death of 74-year-old Harold Finch, an inmate who died Friday afternoon following a hospital stay for preexisting medical conditions.
Finch was pronounced dead at 1:31 p.m. on August 7, 2026. Detectives with the Robbery & Homicide Unit reported that he was initially transported from the Pinellas County Jail to the hospital on July 26, 2026, due to his underlying health issues.
