SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Today continues the noticeably drier stretch for Sarasota, Bradenton and the rest of the Suncoast. Sunshine will dominate much of the day, with only the smallest chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm in inland locations. The coast shoud stay dry.
Temperatures will climb into the lower to middle 90s near the coast and mid 90s farther inland. Temperatures could reach about 94 degrees, making this one of the hotter days of the week. The heat risk will be increasing for the Suncoast without the cooling afternoon storms.
The mostly dry pattern hangs around through Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. A few afternoon storms may pop up, especially farther inland, but many neighborhoods could go several days without meaningful rain. Rain chances generally stay between 10% and 20% inland, with the lowest chances early in the week. Highs will remain in the lower 90s along the beaches and barrier islands and reach the mid 90s east of I-75.
