PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — A 39-year-old man died Wednesday night after being struck by four separate vehicles on Interstate 275, leading to the arrest of one driver who initially left the scene, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred around 9:00 p.m. on Sept. 2, 2026, in the southbound lanes of I-275 near milepost 25.
Investigators said four vehicles were traveling south in the inside lane in successive order when a 39-year-old St. Petersburg man entered their path. The man was walking in the inside travel lane for reasons that remain under investigation…
