ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A 69-year-old man has died from his injuries two days after being struck by an SUV on 34th Street North, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.
The crash occurred around 6:16 p.m. on October 17 in the 3700 block of 34th Street North. Police said Jeffery Mounce was walking in the northbound curb lane when a red Chevrolet Tahoe, also heading north in the same lane, struck him with its front bumper as he attempted to cross.
Emergency medical personnel transported Mounce to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital with serious injuries. Department officials reported that he died from those injuries on Monday…
