Man shot in the head during argument over drugs in Bradenton: MCSO

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) is searching for the person who shot a man in the head and left him to die inside of a mobile home on Thursday.

Deputies were called to the Mel Mar Village Mobile Home Park, located on 14th Street West in Bradenton, where a person was found with a “severe gunshot wound to his head.”

The victim, described as a 23-year-old Hispanic man, died shortly after paramedics arrived to the home.

A witness told detectives that the male shooter and the gunshot victim were involved in an argument, which was likely over drugs, before the shooting, according to a release from MCSO. The suspect left the area before deputies arrived.
