According to Florida Makes, Florida’s manufacturing output in 2022 was a whopping $73 billion, with the sector offering 422,800 jobs in September 2023 – making Florida the 10th state in the nation for manufacturing jobs.
Unfortunately, not all of Florida’s manufacturers have thrived in the last couple of months. I’ve written about Florida manufacturing plants that have closed their doors and laid off their employees – such as Fence Outlet MDC, Fathom Digital Manufacturing, and Southwire Company, LLC. to name a few examples.
And now, a widely-recognized company is closing down a Florida manufacturing plant. And as a result, it is laying off nearly 200 positions.

The company began way back in 1886, and although Coca-Cola used to be known for one beverage, today it sees itself as a “total beverage company” with 200 master brands.
