TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Bradenton man accused of filming several people , including children, without their knowledge last year is racking up more charges – this time in Polk County.
Bradenton police contacted the Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) as part of their investigation of Thomas William Cauley, Jr., 38, who was charged with video voyeurism in September 2023.

Cauley hid small Wi-Fi streaming cameras inside bathrooms at friends and family’s homes and used them to record the victims, according to Bradenton police. Some of the alleged victims included children.
His wife contacted police after finding the videos on Cauley’s Dropbox account while looking through his phone, according to a PCSO arrest report. The app showed “several videos of her bathroom during which several of her friends were using the bathroom,” allegedly taken with a Wi-Fi-enabled camera that she turned in to police as evidence.
Detectives allege the account also contained images and videos of bathrooms at his wife’s friends’ homes and an Airbnb. After searching Cauley’s cellphone and Dropbox, investigators discovered files labeled with the names and locations of the victims, the arrest report stated.
