St. Petersburg Woman Arrested In Clearwater For Embezzling Over $200K From Regatta Beach Club

CLEARWATER, Fla. – Clearwater Police economic crimes detectives have charged a St. Petersburg woman with grand theft after she embezzled more than $200,000 in her role as property manager.

Jessica Benedict, 43, was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on a felony charge after being arrested Friday morning.

According to police, while working as the property manager at the Regatta Beach Club, 880 Mandalay Ave., she used the beach club’s credit card for her personal expenses to the tune of $79,282.

She also diverted checks meant for the beach club into her personal bank account in the amount of $136,903.

The combined total loss to the beach club was $216,185.
