CLEARWATER, Fla. – Clearwater Fire & Rescue Department crews are on a hazardous materials call scene at Countryside Mall at 27001 U.S. 19 N.
Officials say the call came in at 5:02 p.m. about the mixing of two cleaning chemicals at Whole Foods.
The store was evacuated, and fire crews are still assessing patients for potential exposure.
Four patients have been taken to local hospitals for treatment. Two other people were evaluated on scene but declined transport.
The store has been cleared for re-entry by employees. It is unknown now if the store will reopen for customers tonight.
