Publix ice cream truck coming to Tampa Bay this weekend

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Publix’s summer ice cream truck is rolling into Tampa Bay this weekend, to help local residents beat the heat.

Starting on Saturday, the ice cream truck will stop in Lakeland at Common Ground Park, located at 1000 East Edgewood Drive. Ice cream lovers can grab a scoop from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On Sunday, the truck will make its “second-dairy” stop at Sparkman Wharf in Tampa, located at 615 Channelside Drive, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

And what better way to celebrate the Fourth of July than at Publix’s final stop at St. Pete Pier, located at 600 2nd Avenue Northeast. The truck will hand out scoops from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Publix is debuting its limited-edition summer flavors to keep you cool. From rich and sweet, to bright and refreshing, customers will be able to get their hands on a fun, summer-y flavor.

  • Lemon Berry Bliss : Lemon crème base with lemonade-flavored flakes and blueberry-flavored swirl
  • Marry Me Strawberry : Strawberry ice cream with strawberry-flavored sauce with white chocolate-flavored strawberry pecan bark pieces
  • Chocolate Cookie Quarry : Chocolate ice cream with chocolate cookie crumble swirls and flavored chocolate sandwich cookie chunks
  • Cold Brew Cookies & Crème : Cold brew coffee-flavored base with crème filled chocolate cookie pieces
