SpaceX scrubs launch of 23 Starlink satellites seconds before takeoff

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — SpaceX targeted a Sunday morning launch of 23 Starlink satellites from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

After a brief countdown hold, the rocket launch was scrubbed at 11 a.m. According to their website, a backup opportunity for the launch will be available Monday starting at 6:37 a.m.

The Falcon 9 launch was supposed to send the satellites to low-Earth orbit, in SpaceX’s 17th flight for this mission.

SpaceX previously launched SES-22, ispace’s HAKUTO-R MISSION 1, Amazonas-6, CRS-27, Brandwagon-1, and Starlink missions.

The first stage will land on the A Shortfall of Gravitas droneship in the Atlantic Ocean after stage separation.
