Tampa Man Charged With Federal Offenses in Violent Gas Station Robbery

A Tampa man faces a minimum of seven years to life in federal prison following an indictment on charges related to a recent gas station robbery. Brandale Swails, 29, has been charged with Hobbs Act robbery and using a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida announced the charges after Swails allegedly engaged in a violent confrontation at a local gas station.
