SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – After a lull in the tropics things are getting active as we get closer to the peak day of hurricane season. We are now monitoring two areas in the Atlantic for the possibility of development over the next 7 days. Disturbance #1 is still just a disorganized cluster of storms some 3000 miles SE of Sarasota. The area of concern is moving toward the west at 10-15 mph.
