TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Thrill seekers will have an additional week to ride the legendary Scorpion roller coaster.
The park announced Friday that the ride will now remain open until Sept. 8.
The ride was initially slated to close on Labor Day.
The Scorpion is one of only three coasters of its type remaining in the world, according to the park. It reaches speeds of 50 mph and sends riders through a 360-degree loop.
