September 11, 2024 – Germany-based discount grocer Aldi has filed renovation permits with the City of St. Petersburg for the Winn-Dixie at 3327 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr St. N. Documents show the $1.7 million project will subdivide the 46,000-square foot space for another tenant. The company announced plans to open 800 U.S. stores after acquiring Winn-Dixie and Harveys Supermarket last year.
