St. Pete street racer charged with driver’s death: police

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — A St. Petersburg man is charged with killing another driver in a crash while street racing last week.

Police said Charles Williams IV, 22, was racing a black SUV in a bus lane on 1st Avenue South at 51st Street South when he crashed into Corey Koeppen’s pickup truck.

Koeppen was ejected from the truck and died at the site of the crash.

Williams was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide in his death, St. Pete police announced Wednesday.
