TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Pinellas County announced it would be locking three movable bridges by 8 p.m. Wednesday, following guidance from the U.S. Coast Guard.

The Dunedin Causeway bridges, Beckett Bridge in Tarpon Springs and Park Boulevard Bridge in Seminole will remain open to traffic but will not be open for boat traffic until conditions are clear following Hurricane Helene.

Anyone needing to move a high-clearance boat must do so before 8 p.m. Wednesday.

FHP and the Florida Department of Transportation will also close the Sunshine Skyway Bridge once wind speeds reach 45 mph. The Gandy Bridge, Howard Frankland Bridge, and Courtney Campbell Causeway will be closed if wave action makes travel unsafe.
