TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Hillsborough and Pinellas County Schools will be closed on Friday, Sept. 27, due to Hurricane Helene.

Hillsborough County Public Schools announced Thursday that schools will remain closed on Friday.
Schools in the county are being used for shelter operations due to Helene.
All scheduled high school football games for Friday have been canceled.

All Pinellas County Schools will remain closed on Friday due to the impact of Hurricane Helene and schools being used as hurricane shelters.
Sports and activities are canceled for Thursday, but staff will assess all district facilities on Friday to determine when activities can resume on campus.
