SEPT 29 REHAB? The San Francisco 49ers are without Christian McCaffrey, but there is now some optimism that his Achilles injury sustained during training camp might be healed by, say, Week 10.
That’s good for the Niners and their reigning Offensive Player of the Year. But … that timeline would have McCaffrey return following San Francisco’s Week 9 bye. … meaning the 49ers might face the Bucs on Nov. 10 with CMC back in the fold.
Again, good for the Niners. And dangerous for the Bucs and the rest of the NFL.
SEPT 29 BOTH BACKS! Both Buccaneers running backs Rachaad White (illness) and Bucky Irving (hamstring) – who have been listed as questionable for Sunday – are now expected to play vs. the Eagles today.
The rookie Irving has insisted all along that he’d find a way … and he may be more featured that ever in Week 4.
Meanwhile, White was dealing with food poisoning but as of Sunday morning reportedly feels better and wants to go.
