According to recent site plans, the Windy City-based sandwich chain, Potbelly, is set to potentially open a new location on 1635 Tamiami Trail, adding another option for Floridians craving a classic Chicago-style sandwich.
A Taste of Chicago Expands in Florida
Potbelly, known for its toasted sandwiches and signature giardiniera sauce, has been making waves in Florida with new locations in cities like Orlando, Plant City, and Tampa. Now, Sarasota might be the next destination for this popular chain, as local franchise experts Royal Restaurant Group—a veteran in the industry known for managing Burger King locations in Jacksonville—are working to bring Potbelly’s unique offerings to the Gulf Coast.
“We love the food. And then, in addition to the food, it’s all about the vibe in the restaurants, the community, the loyal fan base,” Royal Restaurant Group shared with What Now Tampa when discussing their excitement about the potential Sarasota opening.
