The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost Mike Evans and Chris Godwin to injury in the loss to the Baltimore Ravens, but there is no time to dwell.
Tampa Bay face the Atlanta Falcons and must put what happened against Baltimore to one side and focus on getting back on the winner’s list.
But to do that, offensive coordinator Liam Coen must devise a game plan that will give his team the best chance at putting up enough points to win the game.
Without Evans and Godwin, others have to step up in their absence, but for Coen, it isn’t as easy as the next man up.
“You have to go through the process of okay, we have to simplify [it] for guys that are going to be playing that haven’t been asked to play as much, you need to scheme them up and you need to do all these things so it’s a little bit of a challenge,” Coen said . “We’ve got to keep it fairly simple for the guys playing in new roles, while also understanding that we’ve got to throw some different wrinkles at them because we did just play them not long ago. So that’s kind of the thing you’re working through.”
