Man found shot in driveway of St. Petersburg home

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — A man was found shot Wednesday evening in the driveway of a St. Petersburg home, according to a spokesperson with the St. Petersburg Police Department.

A neighbor called police at about 5 p.m. after noticing a man down in the 2800 block of 16th Avenue South, police said.

Police found the man with a gunshot wound, and the neighbor who called police didn’t recognize him.

The man did not live at the home and police are working to learn why he was there and who shot him.

The man was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, according to police.

No other details were immediately available.
